Ogwen Valley is the most northerly of the main valleys in the Snowdonia National Park, North Wales, UK. The mountains that surround the valley are about 1000 metres high and the terrain varies quite considerably. With eleven of the Welsh 3000-feet peaks and cliffs that reach about 300-400 metres in height our area is very popular with both walkers and climbers.

A volunteer Search and Rescue (Mountain Rescue) Organisation Operating in North East Wales, mainly covering the counties of Flintshire, Denbighshire, Conwy, Wrexham, Powys, and parts of Wirral and Cheshire. Affiliated to the North Wales Mountain Rescue Association and Mountain Rescue England and Wales.

The Central Beacons Mountain Rescue Team operates in the Brecon Beacons National Park and surrounding areas of Mid Wales and South Wales. We have been supporting the communities of Mid and South Wales since 1963.

Western Beacons Mountain Search and Rescue Team

The team respond to emergencies for people lost and or injured on the mountains, or on remote and rough terrain. The team is activated by the police through the 999 system and then through the team\'s pager system. The team’s main operational area is the western area of the Brecon Beacons, along with the areas of the South Wales Valleys and West Wales.

SARDA Wales - Search and Rescue Dog Association

SARDA Wales is a specialist Search Dog component of Mountain Rescue (England and Wales) and is permanently staffed by unpaid volunteer Dog Handlers and their dogs to provide a search and rescue service to the Police, Mountain Rescue & Coastguard.

Aberglaslyn Mountain Rescue Team

Aberglaslyn Mountain Rescue Team (AMRT) is a registered charity that operates in North West Wales and Snowdonia. We are staffed by approximately 30 volunteers and are on call 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The team is funded almost entirely through voluntary contributions. AMRT provides a search and rescue service, not just on the mountains but covering the whole of North West Wales.
