Set in the heart of Ruthin town centre the Wynnstay Offers contemporary dining and accommodation whilst preserving the traditional features of the building dating from 1549. We specialise in locally sourced food, much of it Welsh, and all produced on the premises. We bake our own bread and produce our own desserts, we also bake hams and make pates, all of which are served in the warm and laid back environment that has become synonymous with the Wynnstay.

The Hand stands on the crossroads of two of the old drovers roads. As a farm, it was an ideal place to stop overnight, pen the animals and take a well-earned rest from the journey. Over the centuries the provision of accommodation has gradually taken over from farming with the final switch from farm to hotel taking place in the 1960s.
