Llantrisant is a town in the county borough of Rhondda Cynon Taf, within the historic county boundaries of Glamorgan, Wales, lying on the River Ely and the Afon Clun. The town’s name translates as The Parish of the Three Saints. The three saints in question are St Illtyd, St Gwynno and St Dyfodwg. Llantrisant is a hilltop settlement, at an altitude of 174 m (565 ft) above sea level.

Welcome to Llantrisant Welsh Medium Primary School. We hope that you will enjoy your visit. We are a Welsh-medium school with high expectations of our pupils. 250 pupils attend our school and their ages range from 3 to 11. Most of the children do not come from Welsh-speaking homes, but they very soon become completely bi-lingual. Although welsh is the main medium of education in the school, English is introduced in Year 3 when the pupils are 7 years old.
