Steeped in myth and legend, Llangollen rests in the Dee Valley. A tiny town of some 3000 people it is best known for playing host to the Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod in July every year. Over 120,000 visitors have been looked after. Playing host to so many visitors takes expertise, friendship and understanding. Llangollen has been practising these arts so well that instead of being twinned with another town, she alone has the honour of being twinned with the world.
