The Lower Wye Group (one of six Groups in Greater Gwent, Wales) is ideally situated as a centre for walking with its "patch" enjoying The Usk Valley, Wye Valley, Forest of Dean, Black Mountains and Brecon Beacons and with the Cotswolds, the Mendip and Quantock Hills but a short distance over the Severn Bridge to the south. There is the type of terrain to suit every taste. The Group walks mainly on Sundays with a few Saturdays and some weekdays; evening walks run from May to August.CATEGORIES: Hiking, Rambling & Walking
