Cass Meurig is one of Wales's foremost fiddle and crwth players. She grew up playing the fiddle by ear with her family alongside her violin lessons, and by the time she left college had developed a particular love for Welsh folk music. In 1999 she joined Caernarfon based band Pigyn Clust and appears on their latest album 'Perllan'. She is now also a member of widely acclaimed Welsh band Fernhill. Cass contributed to Fernhill's third album 'Whilia' and toured with them in Japan, Portugal, Belgium and Italy in 2001.
