Conservation in Action
http://www.wiredwales.com/cia
The popular view of conservation groups is that they exist to Preserve our Heritage, Not so Conservation In Action. This innovative community group is much more concerned with ensuring a sustainable future. What is important is issues surrounding the improvement of quality of life, greater access to appropriate leisure and amenity space. Hafren Kune Kunes
http://www.kunekune.co.uk
The modern Kune Kune pig comes from New Zealand, but how they got there is a mystery that no one has yet solved. The Maoris kept them for meat and had them running around the houses. It has even been said that the children were seen riding on their backs. This probably explains why they have an excellent temperament and love the company of humans. The British Kune Kune Pig Society was set up in 1993 as it was essential to register all the pigs in the country. Today the society has over 100 members.

Kite Country
http://www.kitecountry.co.uk
The Kite Country project was established in 1994, to encourage visitors to come and see the majestic Red Kite. Until that point, because of threats to the bird, the location of breeding kites had been a well-kept local secret for over 100 years. Kite Country invites you to visit Mid Wales to discover the Red Kite, and other wildlife, in their own natural environment, without disturbing or endangering any of these species.
