Mencap Cymru has over 1500 individual members and a growing number of schools and community groups. New members join us every week in our campaigning and awareness raising work across Wales. Our services provide support so people with a learning disability can live as independently as they want. We provide services to support people with a learning disability to train for and find employment, and we provide domiciliary services and short-term breaks for parents and carers.

CEWC-Cymru helps young people to develop as active citizens of Wales and the world. We are the schools arm of the Welsh Centre for International Affairs, a registered charity. This site is aimed mainly at teachers.

Wales Ape & Monkey Sanctuary

We are located in the lovely Brecon Beacons National Park area of South Wales. The Park has been officially designated as a Geopark because of its unique geological formations. Formerly a traditional Welsh hill farm, the sanctuary now rescues and provides a home for many types of unwanted animals. especially primates, such as chimpanzees, baboons, spider monkeys, capuchins and marmosets.

CAT is an education and visitor centre which demonstrates practical solutions for sustainability. We cover all aspects of green living: environmental building, eco-sanitation, woodland management, renewable energy, energy efficiency and organic growing.

Western Beacons Mountain Search and Rescue Team

The team respond to emergencies for people lost and or injured on the mountains, or on remote and rough terrain. The team is activated by the police through the 999 system and then through the team\'s pager system. The team’s main operational area is the western area of the Brecon Beacons, along with the areas of the South Wales Valleys and West Wales.
