The VoR Railway runs for 11¾ miles from Aberystwyth to Devil's Bridge. The Welsh Highland Railway Projecthttp://www.bangor.ac.uk/ml/whr/ This is where you can find out all about the project led by the Ffestiniog Railway to rebuild and operate the Welsh Highland Railway, a neighbouring line running through the mountains of Wales which closed in the 1930s. The first three-mile section of the new line from Caernarfon opened in October 1997 and approval has now been granted to rebuild the whole line. In 1970 the Corris Railway Museum was opened, and in 2002 passenger services recommenced on the first section of rebuilt line. The Society also researches the history of the railway and district.
