Ysgol Gyfun Gymraeg Glantaf was established in 1978 with 99 pupils, and is the only Welsh medium comprehensive school in South Glamorgan, catering for pupils aged from eleven to eighteen (years 7 to 13) from the Welsh medium primary schools and bilingual units in other primary schools in the country. By now there are over one and a half thousand pupils in the school.
