The Pembrokeshire Coast National Park is one of the smallest National Parks in England and Wales. The Park is predominantly coastal, and includes several offshore islands, the largest of which are Skomer, Skokholm, Ramsey, Grasholm and Caldey. These are internationally important for their seabird and seal populations. Skokholm is a small island nature reserve off the south west coast of Pembrokeshire, Wales. Along with the neighbouring islands of Skomer and Grassholm, it forms one of the most important seabird breeding sites in Europe. The flat top of the island is home to 35,000 pairs of Manx Shearwaters, Storm Petrels, large gull colonies, Wheatears, Oystercatchers, Meadow Pipits and Skylarks, while the 150 ft cliffs hold Puffins, Guillemots, Razorbills, Peregrines and Ravens.CATEGORIES: Birdwatching & Ornithology , Nature Reserves , Wildlife (general)

Castell Henllys is a Scheduled Ancient Monument and one of many prehistoric promontory forts in the National Park dating to around 600BC. What makes this site particularly important is that archaeologists have been excavating here for nearly twenty years and thatched Iron Age buildings have been reconstructed on their original foundations.
