Like other clubs our membership comprises people who willingly give their own precious time and energy to raise money and/or assist those others of our community who are less fortunate than ourselves.

Our services provide support so people with a learning disability can live as independently as they want. We provide services to support people with a learning disability to train for and find employment, and we provide domiciliary services and short-term breaks for parents and carers.

Communities First is a Welsh Assembly Government initiative which has been introduced to regenerate areas of need. One such area is Llwynypia. Llwynypia is situated in the Mid Rhondda Fawr area and in the Welsh Index of Multiple Deprivation it ranks the ward as the fifth worst in Rhondda Cynon Taff. That said as a community Llwynypia has many strengths, which includes its community members.
