Côr Cymry's repertoire has something for everyone, including new music and literature from leading Welsh and Welsh-North American composers and writers. By showcasing the wealth of talent that we have in Welsh North America, this "community choir that spans a continent" is bringing Welsh music of the highest musical standard to both Welsh and non-Welsh audiences.

Cowbridge Male Voice Choir

Cowbridge Male Voice Choir (Cor Meibion y Bontfaen) was formed in 1971. In 1973 they appeared on television and in April 1974 sang before H.R.H. Princess Alexandra at the Royal Albert Hall, London, sharing the stage with Dame Vera Lynn and Larry Adler. In 1994 they appeared with Anneka Rice (CMVC President) in Challenge Anneka. The choir sing frequently in support of charities in the UK and abroad.

The Welsh Camerata / Y Camerata Cymreig

We are a mixed choir currently numbering 18 singers which specialises in Early Music and the Baroque. We are led by Andrew Wilson-Dickson and rehearse in Cardiff on Tuesdays in the 6 weeks before a concert. We do about 2/3 concerts per year. Potential members should be experienced choral singers and be good sight readers. They are required to take a short audition which involves singing an accompanied piece of your choice, some sight reading and some scales.

Montreal Welsh Male Choir

The roots of Côr Meibion Cymraeg stretch back in history to when in the mid 1850's, a large group of Welsh Quarrymen, who had been on the work force of the Menai Suspension Bridge, came to Montreal after its completion. A contract had been given to start work on the construction of the Victoria Bridge to span the St. Lawrence River. These quarrymen quickly organized themselves into a choral group.
