Elan Valley, the lakeland of Wales, an internationally important wildlife site of over 70 square miles. The land is owned by Dŵr Cymru and is managed by the Elan Valley Trust. It contains five reservoirs which have supplied water to Birmingham for a hundred years. Skokholm is a small island nature reserve off the south west coast of Pembrokeshire, Wales. Along with the neighbouring islands of Skomer and Grassholm, it forms one of the most important seabird breeding sites in Europe.
