A wide variety of risks are found within our operational area ranging from the petro-chemical industries in Milford Haven, Pembrokeshire and Briton Ferry, Neath, to the risks associated with heavily populated conurbations such as Swansea, Port Talbot and Llanelli.

Western Beacons Mountain Search and Rescue Team

The team respond to emergencies for people lost and or injured on the mountains, or on remote and rough terrain. The team is activated by the police through the 999 system and then through the team\'s pager system. The team’s main operational area is the western area of the Brecon Beacons, along with the areas of the South Wales Valleys and West Wales.
