Ogwen Valley is the most northerly of the main valleys in the Snowdonia National Park, North Wales, UK. The mountains that surround the valley are about 1000 metres high and the terrain varies quite considerably. With eleven of the Welsh 3000-feet peaks and cliffs that reach about 300-400 metres in height our area is very popular with both walkers and climbers.

This site is designed to give an insight into the workings of the Coastguard service in and around the Tenby area, mainly of the Tenby BURT (Back Up Response Team), but also Manorbier and Caldey IRTs (Immediate Response Team). The seaside town of Tenby has a long association with the Coastguard, from the old seaside cottages on Caldey Island and around the town, right up to the present day.

Aberglaslyn Mountain Rescue Team (AMRT) is a registered charity that operates in North West Wales and Snowdonia. We are staffed by approximately 30 volunteers and are on call 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The team is funded almost entirely through voluntary contributions. AMRT provides a search and rescue service, not just on the mountains but covering the whole of North West Wales.
Western Beacons Mountain Search and Rescue Team

The team respond to emergencies for people lost and or injured on the mountains, or on remote and rough terrain. The team is activated by the police through the 999 system and then through the team\'s pager system. The team’s main operational area is the western area of the Brecon Beacons, along with the areas of the South Wales Valleys and West Wales.
